What it is: City mapper is one of popular intangible products. It’s an app that helps people in many cities figure out how to use public transportation. It helps people figure out how to get around a huge transportation system.
How it is made: I don’t know when it was made, but it seems to have been around for at least ten years. It’s become as much a part of my everyday life as social media. I think there have been a few other attempts to make apps like this, but none of them really took off. When it comes to how it’s made, software developers sit at their computers in an office and make it. I’m not a software developer, so I can’t really say much about the details, but I imagine they spent a lot of time learning their craft and practicing it to become good enough to make such an app.
Why it is popular and explain what you think of it: I feel like I have a lot more trouble than I should when I go to a city where I can’t use this app.
